Choosing a method
Doctrinal work analyses primary legal materials. Comparative work sets two or more systems against a shared question. Empirical work collects data through surveys, interviews, or case analysis. Mixed designs combine these.
The methodology section should state what sources you used, how you selected them, the period covered, and the limitations you accept.
